Has anyone played around with the rules in a WWII setting?

I'm considering it and have been trying to come up with some houserules to better handle squad combat. I think I also need something better to handle artillery barrages. I did write something but scrapped it as it was too complicated to run in an actual game (I don't want to turn the game into a session of ASL or something). There was a beginnings of something cool in the firefight system of the old Behind Enemy Lines.

That was a cool little game.

I would be interested to work with you on it.

Having just watched Band of Brothers again, I've been inspired toward a couple of one-shot WWII adventures.

So if anyone has put together any stats for WWII-era equipment, and is willing to post it, I'd be eternally grateful! :)

I tried to do a WWII campaign a couple of weeks ago. I got as far as the first encounter, but then I put it aside. I was using the older (Tw 2000 version 1 & 2) system, because I have more weapons stats for that. So if you want the newer Tw2013 stats I can’t really help you, but you might be able to start with the old stats and convert. I have Version 2 stats for the following:

US: M-1911A1 .45 pistol, M-1 Garand, M1918A2 BAR, Thompson SMG, M-3 Grease Gun SMG, M-1 Carbine, M-1903A4 sniper rifle, M-1919A4 machinegun, M-1917A1 machinegun, M-2 .50 heavy machinegun.

German: Luger P-08 pistol, Walther P-38 pistol, KAR-98k rifle, MP-40 SMG, MP-44 assault rifle, KAR-98k sniper rifle, FG-42 rifle, MG-34 machinegun, MG-42 machinegun, PzB 38 AT rifle.

British: Webley Mk 6 revolver, Enfield No. 4 rifle, Sten Mk II SMG, Bren Mk II light machinegun, Lewis Mk I machinegun, Vickers Mk I heavy machinegun, Boys AT rifle.

USSR: M1933 Tokarev pistol, Mosin Nagant M1891 rifle PPSh-41 SMG, PPSh-43 SMG, DP machinegun, M1910 Maxim machinegun, SG-43 machinegun, DShK heavy machinegun, PTRS-41 AT rifle.

For the M-1 Bazooka, M-2 60 mm mortar, and M-1 81 mm mortar I had to use stats for more recent equivalents because I don’t have the stats for the WWII versions.

For the Panzerfaust 60 I had to pretty much guess because I couldn’t find stats for that.

Alexei,
I'd love to see those stats. I've been toying with a few different WWII concepts at the moment, one of them being loosely based on the "World War 2.1" novel series idea of modern soldiers finding themselves transferred back in time (I can rarely escape a sci-fi twist to any setting :) ).

Aldaron,

I can provide the stats. I don't think I would be allowed to post them here, but if you PM me I should be able to email them to you or something.

Most of what I have comes from a Version 2 supplement called "Infantry Weapons of the World." In addition to that I got a few stats from other supplements.

I would also like to know the armor-penetrating capabilities of these rocket launchers, could make v2 stats for them in a few minutes then (thanks, GDW, for Fire, Fusion & Steel)
